Translation:

Can the person to whom We have made a good promise, which he would certainly meet, be ever like the one, whom We have only given the provisions of the worldly life, and who, on the Day of Resurrection, would be presented for punishment.

Translit: Afaman waAAadnahu waAAdan hasanan fahuwa laqeehi kaman mattaAAnahu mataAAa alhayati alddunya thumma huwa yawma alqiyamati mina almuhdareena

Translation:

Those concerning whom this Word will be true, will say, "Our Lord, these are indeed the people whom we had misled: we led them astray even as we ourselves were led astray. We plead our innocence before You: they did not worship us."

Translit: Qala allatheena haqqa AAalayhimu alqawlu rabbana haolai allatheena aghwayna aghwaynahum kama ghawayna tabarrana ilayka ma kanoo iyyana yaAAbudoona

Then it will be said to them. "Call now on those whom you held as (Allah's) partners." They will call them, but will get no answer and they will see the torment. Would that they had followed the guidance!

Translation:

Your Lord creates whatever He wills; and chooses (for His work whomever He pleases). To choose is not for them. Allah is Pure and Exalted far above the shirk that these people commit.

Translit: Warabbuka yakhluqu ma yashao wayakhtaru ma kana lahumu alkhiyaratu subhana Allahi wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona
